What is Sazonblea?
Sazonblea is Mijente Member's bi-annual gathering. This convening brings folks together to connect, learn, strategize and build unity around the organization’s direction and plans. Similar to Lánzate, which is a social, cultural and political festival for the Latinx movement ecosystem, Sazonblea includes programming that weaves political, organizing, social and cultural work.
The location is chosen by assessing needs and opportunities of a locality in regards to organizing – this year we’ve chosen Tucson, Arizona as our Sazonblea 2023 location.
It’s said that if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu - or they expect you to pick, cook and serve the food. We believe that the change we need isn’t just going to happen, we have to make it happen
